Using this website

These Terms of Service explain how Econobyt handles inquiries and outlines key conditions of our website services. By sending an inquiry through this website, you acknowledge our Privacy Policy and agree to the terms governing the use of this website and its contact tools.

An inquiry is not an order. Submitting a form or starting a conversation does not authorize payment or enroll you in a subscription. Before paid work begins, we will provide and seek your acceptance of the project scope, price, payment schedule, and service terms.

What Econobyt offers

Econobyt creates and maintains informational websites for small businesses. Our services include eligible existing-website revamps and new website projects, followed by ongoing hosting and standard content updates. The specific pages, features, deliverables, and any work outside the standard service are confirmed in an accepted proposal or service agreement.

Advertised plans and pricing

Our managed website service is advertised at $20 per month or $200 per year. Eligible existing websites may receive a redesign with no separate revamp setup fee; however, the managed service is paid, and its first payment is due before our team begins work.

For a brand-new website, the advertised $100 one-time setup fee includes the first three months of managed website service. The ongoing subscription starts after the included period, on the billing date we confirm with you. The $100 setup fee and recurring subscription charges are different types of payments and have different refund terms.

All advertised amounts are in USD unless otherwise stated. We will provide the applicable billing dates, any taxes, third-party charges, and the scope of services in writing before collecting payment. No charges are made simply because you submit an inquiry.

Unlimited standard website edits

The managed plan includes requests for standard edits to an existing website within its agreed scope, such as updating text, business hours, images you provide, contact details, and routine content. “Unlimited” means there is no fixed numerical monthly cap on these standard requests; it does not mean instant completion or unlimited staff hours.

New pages, major redesigns, custom applications, e-commerce, integrations, extensive content production, and other work outside the agreed scope may require a separate quote. Reasonable turnaround and request handling will be discussed as part of your service.

Domains and third-party charges

You may use a domain you already own. We can help connect an existing domain to your website. New domain registrations, renewals, premium services, and any other external paid tools are separate unless your written project agreement says otherwise. You remain responsible for having the rights to use any domain and content you provide.

Timelines and cooperation

We generally aim to launch websites within 7–30 days, depending on the project's size, technical requirements, and the timely receipt of business information, content, feedback, and approvals. This timeframe is an estimate, not a fixed delivery guarantee.

We will let you know when paid work starts, share progress updates at meaningful stages of the project, and inform you when we need information or decisions from you. Clear and timely communication from both sides helps us deliver the agreed work efficiently.

Your business information and content

You are responsible for the accuracy of business details and for ensuring that materials you provide, such as logos, photographs, testimonials, and copy, can lawfully be used on your website. Please tell us when information changes. Econobyt may decline requests that appear unlawful, misleading, or outside the agreed service scope.

Search engine visibility

We build with foundational search-friendly practices, such as accessible page structure, titles, descriptions, and mobile-responsive layouts. Search discovery, indexing, placement, and traffic are determined by search engines and other factors beyond website setup. Specific visibility or business outcomes are not part of the service unless expressly included in a separate agreement.

Advance payment and starting work

We collect agreed fees before beginning paid work. For eligible website revamps, this means the first managed-service subscription payment is required before we start the redesign. For new websites, the $100 setup fee is collected before initial planning, design, or development begins.

Before requesting payment, we will confirm what is included, when work is expected to start, and the relevant refund and cancellation rules. We will notify you as the project moves forward and provide progress updates. Work is considered started when our team begins substantive project activity, such as planning the site's structure, preparing content, designing, developing, or making agreed changes; an initial inquiry or quote alone does not count as work started.

Refunds for the one-time setup fee

The following policy applies only to the $100 one-time setup fee for a new website, not to subscription payments:

  • Before work begins — 100% refund: If you cancel before our team starts substantive work, the full $100 setup fee is refundable.
  • After work begins — 50% refund: If you cancel after substantive work has started, $50 of the $100 setup fee is refundable. The other $50 contributes toward staff time, planning, design, development, and services already performed.

We will confirm the status of your project and explain the refund calculation when you contact us. Any separate third-party expenses will be disclosed and agreed before purchase; they are not treated as part of the $100 setup fee unless expressly stated in writing.

Subscription payments, refunds, and cancellation

Monthly service is paid in advance. The $20 monthly fee covers the managed-service period and the team time allocated to the work. Once our team begins work under a paid monthly period—including work on an existing-site revamp—the $20 payment for that period is non-refundable if you choose to cancel, even if the revamp has not yet been completed. This reflects staff time and services committed from the start of the project.

If you pay for a monthly period but our team has not started any work for that period, you may request a refund of that unstarted period. The 50% setup-fee refund rule does not apply to monthly subscriptions.

You may ask to cancel ongoing service by contacting us through the contact form or live chat. We will acknowledge the request, confirm when service will end, and stop future renewals according to the agreed billing arrangements. Canceling does not create a new cancellation penalty; amounts already earned under the policy above are not refunded simply because you choose to stop early.

Annual service is paid in advance. Customers on the $200 annual plan may request a refund if they decide to cancel before their paid term ends. Annual refund requests are reviewed individually and are not subject to the monthly plan’s automatic non-refund rule.

We assess any eligible refund using the remaining unused portion of the paid annual service term as a starting point, taking into account the time already covered by the plan, the work and website services already delivered (including an initial revamp, where applicable), and reasonable, documented project expenses that have not already been accounted for. We will not deduct the same cost twice, and we will not introduce undisclosed charges. Any separately chargeable third-party costs must have been disclosed and agreed before they were incurred.

When you request cancellation, we will review the service history and relevant costs, explain our calculation in writing, and confirm whether a partial refund is due. Refund amounts vary according to the circumstances; a refund is not automatically equal to the full unused subscription balance. Cancellation of future renewals will be processed as agreed. Any website handover arrangements will be explained in the accepted service agreement.

Your legal rights remain protected. These policies apply to voluntary cancellations and do not limit refunds or other remedies available under applicable law, including where services are not provided as agreed or where a mandatory consumer protection applies. We will consider any service concern fairly and review the work performed and communications before responding.

Website availability and permitted use

We aim to keep this informational site accurate and available, but may revise information or temporarily interrupt access for maintenance or technical reasons. Do not misuse its forms, chat, or content, interfere with site security, or submit unlawful or abusive material.

Updates and questions

We may update these website terms as our services change. New terms will be published here; material changes to an active paid project will be discussed with the customer rather than silently changing an accepted agreement.

If you have a question about a payment, progress update, cancellation, or refund, please contact Econobyt. We are committed to communicating clearly and resolving concerns fairly.
